A skin tag, medically known as acrochordon, is a small, benign flap of flesh-colored tissue that hangs off the skin by a small, narrow connecting stalk. They are most often found where skin forms creases and rubs against skin, such as under the armpits, under the breasts, on the groin area, or on the neck and back. Skin tags can be up to half an inch long, though most are about the size of a grain of rice. They do not grow or change over time. Skin tags affect a large number of the population and are most commonly found in people who are overweight, have diabetes, and women who are pregnant.
- CO2 Laser Treatment: Local anaesthesia can be used to numb the area. A CO2 laser is then used to instantly vapourise the skin tags. The advantage of carbondioxide laser is an instant bloodless and painless treatment. Most skin tags are removed without any scarring.
- Radiosurgery Treatment: Radiosurgery is a technology used to treat a variety of soft tissue conditions, from the skin to deeper tissues. We use the latest technology to ensure safe and effective removal of moles, warts and skin lesions. Instead of using a scalpel radio waves do the cutting. A fine wire using radio waves can literally shave off these lesions one at a time without leaving a mark.
